who we are

Small studio. Big city.

Outframe Games is a tiny independent studio out of Nairobi, building mobile games for Kenya and East Africa — not translated in from somewhere else.

Why we started

Most games on your phone weren't made with you in mind — big downloads built for flagship phones and fast fibre, dropped into app stores everywhere and hoping the fit works out. We flipped that. Every Outframe game starts from the phone in someone's pocket in Nairobi, not the other way around.

How we build

Small, fast, and light — every game we ship starts life as a single file that runs anywhere, no install wall, no huge download standing between someone and actually playing. It's a constraint we chose on purpose: if it doesn't run smoothly on an entry-level Android with patchy data, it's not ready.

Who it's for

Kenya first, East Africa close behind. Swahili and Sheng aren't a "localization pass" we bolt on later — they're in the room from the first sketch. Matatu culture, KES economies, local humor: that's the raw material, not a reference photo.

⚡

Light & fast

Built for real networks and real devices, not flagship demos.

🇰🇪

Made here

Nairobi culture and language from the first sketch, not added later.

🎯

Small & sharp

Fewer games, more polish. We'd rather ship four good ones than forty average ones.

🔁

Ship, then learn

Small releases, real players, fast feedback — not a two-year guess.

How the studio is run

Small teams, short loops, and everyone close to the player.

🎨 Art & UI

Interface, character and visual identity — designed for small screens first.

🛠️ Engineering

Gameplay and shared tech, built to run well on entry-level Android.

🎮 Design & Production

Loops, difficulty, pacing and the schedule that actually ships.

📊 Data & Analytics

Retention and funnels, read honestly and used to improve the game.

📣 Marketing & Growth

Store presence, community and getting the right players in the door.

🧾 Business Support

Partnerships, finance, legal and player support behind the scenes.

Where we're going.

Kenya first, East Africa close behind, then everyone else who wants a game that respects their phone and their time. We're building a small catalogue of titles that share the same bones — light, bilingual, offline-friendly — and a studio that keeps shipping after the first launch.

If that sounds like the kind of place you'd want to build, we're hiring across art, engineering, design and analytics.
